12/29/25 and 12/30/25 at PhilaMOCA
these were all recorded at the Naked Lightbulb birthday shows at PhilaMOCA. details of note across them: Luke borrowing my camera during the Carpet Floor set and later having a conversation with me between songs about wanting to fix it, for some reason. Griff of Lahnah using the phrase "another night in the big city" repeatedly. me wondering aloud how the sound was being picked up during the Artax set and Dorthia responding "fucking phenomenal".

every Scrimblo set makes me feel like my head is gonna explode, obviously this is a good thing. shout out to Kate for filming like 8 minutes of this so i could take still photos. if you look closely at points you can see me feeling like my head is gonna explode.

my first brush with Cowpokes mk3, in their oozy beautiful glory. i also filmed most of the Sallow Friend set from this evening, but the file seems to be corrupted.
9/13/25 at Dead Birds
Paul asked me to film part of the Molly_XLR set, and i did what i could, in spite of being fucking exhausted. crowd goes unreasonably crazy in this.
8/27/25 at Nikki Lopez
got asked last minute to video this, and i'm glad i did. The DOJD plays Head In The Ceiling Fan by Title Fight in the style of Ground-Zero. very much for me.

Artax rendered blue as shit on a Tuesday(?).
7/27/25 at the Gray's Ferry Warehouse
the extremely rare occurance of a watercopyy promoted show, this one taking place in an extremely warm room in the Gray's Warehouse.
7/19/25 at the Ukrainian Club
day two of Julia's War Fest at the Ukie Club. first appearance of whatever iteration of Ruth in the Bardo this is. i also filmed the Fib set from the same day and never got around to uploading it, i should do that.
7/5/25 at The Silver Age HQ
one off occurance for the release of the NOBODY ELSE IS GONNA GET YOU WHAT YOU WANT split EP. a live improvisation from members of both bands.

one of the less conceptually involved DOJD sets i've seen, but a good one nonetheless.

my camera died 2/3rds of the way through the Main Era set, missing Double Dragon entirely. i also videoed the Wiring set the same night and never got around to uploading it.
6/27/25 at Over Yonder
my meager contribution to documenting the end of Over Yonder. rest in peace to maybe the nicest basement venue i've ever seen.

first off, this video is incoherent. turns out there's a limit to how dark a room this camera works with and i probably made it worse trying to correct it in post. with that said, holy fucking shit what a set. after spending the better part of two years anticipating this, matched my hightened expectations. shout out to instagram user meatcastle on additional vocals for hightening the entire experience. Shenanigans in particular made me feel like i was sprouting wings with them screaming the Kim Gordon sample. probably one of the 5 best sets i've ever seen, even if you can't really.
6/8/25 at Studio 34
oldest footage i've uploaded using this video camera, i don't know why i decided such a visually uncommon band would be a good test run. audio is also a little weird but whatever.
1/24/25 at Our House
the tail end of the "filming loose songs on my phone because my nice camera has a dead battery" era.
1/11/25
extremely photogenic offering from the Artaxes, thanks to Over Yonder's unreasonable lights rig.

the final night of the original Maax Power & The Children of God run. at this point the band consisted of: Paul Normal on drums, Dr. Computer on bass, Anton Vunderkind on keys, The Skull and The Helmet on guitars, and Maax Power and Maax Power on dual lead vocals. i miss them dearly. also the only show where i ever brought out my old 2ds, which is why the video and audio quality is completely dogshit.

unseasonably nice day in November, not sure why New Favorite Beat is upside down.

what can one say about Grocer, truly. i mean probably a lot, honestly.
10/26/24 at Haus of Yarga
i could write thousands of words and not convey the specific vibe of the final Haus of Yarga show. the hundreds of people sardined into a building deemed "uninhabitable", the three distinct floors of music happening, the person doing tattoos on the top floor. until i write on it further, enjoy what Giant sets were like in 2024.
8/16/24 at Cousin Danny's
more Giant, i don't know why i didn't video a full set of theirs back when they were bringing extra drums for Bobby and Fred to play.
7/5/24 at the Kitchenette
the first MP/COG set in like 6 months with Paul as Maax Power, in addition to Alli. an incredibly beautiful and life affirming experience for like 5 people, four of whom were in the band.

the infamous tattoo set. also the final set i filmed on my Nikon D3300.

3/28/24 at Haus of Yarga
inscrutable side project of Fib, nice combo of instrumental post punky tunes and incomprehensible bits, assisted by Ben from Mormon Toasterhead. i'm constantly thinking about that guy in the ski mask saying "if you like this music, you can listen to it".
3/22/24 at Haus of Yarga
Small Head in their profoundly inconvenient era. i get why they don't feel like setting up tapestries and turning the drumkit fully around all the time, but it is fucking sick.

last VCMC set before they imploded, taking advantage of the space. its kinda tragic, honestly, i feel they could have gone places. i recorded their set and uploaded it to the Internet Archive, though i couldn't figure out how to get the tracks in order.
2/1/24 at MOMA 2
one of those sets i filmed because i wanted to hear unreleased material. in hindsight respectable they just played their EP front to back.
